Mail Box Keys
Mail boxes are the responsibility of the homeowner. To obtain a key you will need to change the locks if no key was provided at the closing of your house or by your landlord. Locks may be purchased at any hardware store and installed by you by waiting for the postal carrier and showing proof of your address for them to open the access door. Make sure the lock is the proper size, large locks will jam the door and you will be charged for repair. You can also call a locksmith out for about $85 or contact Gator McKenzie (lives in the neighborhood and also does this service) at 832-487-6961.
